April – the month of the Diamond birthstone

For those lucky enough to be born in April, you have the diamond as your birthstone.

You may know how passionate I am about diamonds – like snowflakes, no two are alike.

The diamond is the hardest of all gemstones and most enduring in so many ways, that’s the reason why the diamond is the symbol of love, albeit created as a marketing ploy but you have to hand it to the man that coined the phrase “A diamond is forever”.

I have seen diamond in it’s beautiful, natural rough state and all the way through the steps of cutting and polishing to sparkling on ears, décolletage and fingers, even the odd crowned head but one thing is certain, a diamond never goes out of style or fashion.

Say it with a diamond, better still, make that a Canadian diamond!
